The first production Panteras were notorious for its overheating problems due to an inefficient radiator design. Although I was blessed with all of my cars already fitted with large core radiators and upgraded fans and not ever having cooling issues, I was searching for something to aid my existing cooling hardware. I found the No-Rosion product line searching the internet. I did research on cooling fluids and learned a lot of things that I didn't know as well as finding that things that I had believed for years were not correct. I've since become the exclusive Hawaii distributor for this line of products .

In Hawaii, we really don't need anti freeze which as its name says, prevents the coolant in our engines from freezing. We actually use anti freeze here as a corrosion inhibitor. The problem with anti freeze is that as a chemical anti corrosive, it doesn't last long and it contains silicates which are microscopic granules similar to sand. Silicates act like a fine sand paper slowly eating away at our aluminum and rubber parts. Dex Cool and other extended life coolants were developed to combat this problem. In theory, they have long life and are made up of organic materials and contain no silicates. The perfect coolant right? Wrong! Dex Cool has a dark side. It is easily contaminated and when its integrity is breached, it turns into a gel clogging your cooling system. There are pending class action law suits for damage to engines attributed to Dex Cool. If Dex Cool seeps into your oil, it turns into a gel ruining bearing and other parts. The suits also alleges that Dex Cool also damages intake and head gaskets.

The No-Rosion line of products were originally developed for large factory machinery engines then adapted for automotive use.  No- Rosion is added to ordinary tap water (yes ordinary tap water, contrary to popular belief, distilled water is not good for your cooling system!) and protects against corrosion without the eroding silicates which come with the use of antifreeze.  Water dissipates heat about twice as fast as antifreeze which makes it a better cooling medium than antifreeze.  No-Rosion also has a product called “Hypercool” which is basically No-Rosion with a water wetter additive already blended in which enhances its cooling properties.  No Rosion provides all the best properties of a coolant; corrosion protection, no damaging silicates, and better cooling properties especially if you use “Hypercool”. I recently discovered that Fluidyne aluminum radiators are packaging a bottle of No Rosion with each radiator to combat corrosion warranty claims. Applied Chemicals Inc. who manufacture the No Rosion line also make and supply the Royal Purple company with Purple Ice under their label and packaging.
