Howard bought his car for a deal but there were many "owner induced" problems of the previous caretaker to overcome. He's sorted through the issues, with help from local members, to make his car a reliable driver. To insure his electrical system was solid, a tech session has hatched to bulletproof the electcial system with the addition of Bob Timma's ATC fuse box and a relay kit from Richard Bourchet. Howard has since added some nice touches such as fabricating some really nice trim rings for his 180 exhaust.

The restoration continues with the Four "Stooges Garage" open for business again. It's now the "Four Stooges" because Alan Zane was kind enough to lend his expertise at safety wiring. Alan and Bayani safety wired my ZF for me while I attended to other matters. The engine has been entirely regasketed, the water jacket plugs replaced with brass units, and a new water pump installed. Now comes the hard, dirty work! I've started stripping the engine bay and frame of the factory undercoating. I've been fortunate to find all is virtually rust free. I also removed the fuel tank and found nothing but surface "velvet" rust. It's amazing, the hidden chassis areas looks like new!
